Estimator – High-End Residential Construction

We are looking for an experienced high-end residential estimator to join our team in a critical role that brings all of our projects to life. This position will work in partnership with project management and leadership to prepare the job prior to start. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented professional and team-player with extensive knowledge of the assets, teams and processes involved in executing high-end residential construction. This is an important member of the Janiczek Homes team and is an exciting opportunity to be at the front of building some of the most beautiful and one-of-a-kind residences in the Philadelphia region.

Duties & Responsibilities

·       Review the project documents to establish a thorough understanding of the project scope and requirements.

·       Interact with Architect/Designer/Owner Representative throughout the process and generate RFIs.

·       Interact with proposed subcontractors throughout the project process.

·       Prepares in-house scope of work and cost estimates for all trades.

·       Prepares Request for Proposals for subcontractors on Janiczek Homes’ bid list.

·       Arrange site inspection with Architect/Designer and coordinate with subcontractors.

·       Prepares outline of project schedule.

·       Qualify subcontractor bids and reconcile with in-house estimate.

·       Review and confirm that subcontractor bids include the complete scope of work.

·       Assists with maintenance of Janiczek Homes’ subcontractor database and historical cost database.

Qualifications

·       Proven experience as a construction estimator.

·       Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, Word, and Outlook.

·       Proficiency using estimating software (Stack, ProEst, or similar)

·       Attention to detail, excellent interpersonal, written, mathematical and verbal communication skills.

·       Bachelor’s Degree in Construction or Engineering preferred.

·       Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or other professional qualifications are a plus.

Salary — $80,000 - $110,000 per year.

Schedule — Monday - Friday

Work Location — In person at Janiczek Homes’ Office in Villanova, PA
