Project Description

This new build, ground-up project at Ardrossan Farm draws inspiration from the site's rich history, capturing the grandeur and style of the Main Line manors found in the renowned Ardrossan Estate. Designed by architect, Fred Bissinger, the expansive layout not only ensures backyard privacy but also creates generous outdoor living spaces and maximizes the home site.

The exterior is meticulously crafted with stone masonry, paying homage to the classic Gilded Age-style architecture prevalent on Philadelphia’s Main Line. Custom-cut Indiana limestone accents grace the windows, providing moments of visual delight along the stone façade. The double high-pitched roofs are adorned with authentic Vermont slate, adding both durability and textural appeal.

Staying true to the region's traditions, this home offers formal rooms, including elegant living and dining areas at the front of the house, seamlessly integrated with an open-concept space designed for casual family living. The interiors showcase the exceptional craftsmanship of local artisans, exemplified by a masterfully crafted circular stair railing.

The kitchen and rear family room effortlessly connect to the backyard living area, ensuring smooth transitions between these stunning spaces.
